Flooded Basement in Charlottesville from Heavy Rainfall

This is just one of the many basements that flooded due to the massive amount of rainfall that Charlottesville and surrounding areas received in May of 2018.  You will notice that there are already 2 foot flood cuts because the basement had already flooded before and had not had a chance to be put back together before flooding again.

While we are professional restorers, in cases where muddy floodwater is involved (aka Category 3 water according to IICRC Standards), it is best to dispose of any affected materials that are porous because of all the contaminates that the floodwater has carried in.
