Mold Damage Caused By Nail In A Pipe
On September 3rd, 2017, our crew responded to what was thought to be a water damage that had occurred recently. As we began to investigate further, we discovered that the cause was a pipe in the bathroom wall that had been slowly leaking over time due to a puncture from a nail. Though the leak was not showing any visible signs on the outside of the wall cavities, inside the wall cavities mold was spreading and the water was dripping down the wall cavity and to the basement.
The photos shown were taken in the basement where you could see the main level sub-floor. Due to the severity of this mold remediation, the sub-floor was completely replaced.
